Glove Size Guide: How to Measure and Choose the Right Size

A glove only protects if it fits. Gloves that are too big slip and reduce feel; gloves that are too small tire the hand. The size depends on your hand circumference.

How to measure correctly

  1. Open your hand flat, without spreading the fingers.
  2. Place a flexible tape measure around the widest part of the palm, across the knuckles and without the thumb.
  3. Read off the circumference in millimetres and find the size in the table.
To EN ISO 21420. Size 8 corresponds roughly to M, 9 to L and 10 to XL.

Checking the fit

  • The fingertips sit snugly without pressing or forming folds.
  • You can close your fist without resistance.
  • The cuff sits at the wrist without cutting in.
  • If you are between two sizes, have employees try both.

The sizes available are shown with each product. Most Hi5 gloves come in sizes 7 to 11, some in 6 to 11 or 8 to 11.
