Both contain latex. The data sheets do not state a cold protection class to EN 511.
Two routes to warm hands
HI523 is a 13G knit of polyester and acrylic that is double-coated with latex: the palm and thumb area are fully coated, which according to the data sheet gives more protection against moisture. HI584 is a coarser 10G knit with acrylic terry loops inside that are soft and keep the hands warm. The latex crinkle coating in the palm gives grip on dry and wet surfaces.
Both gloves are available in sizes 7 to 11, 120 pairs per carton, PPE category II.
Which glove for which job
- HI523: areas of use according to the data sheet are logistics, construction, engineering and glass handling. The full coating makes it the choice when moisture plays a part.
- HI584: areas of use according to the data sheet are logistics, agriculture, construction and engineering. The soft lining is the focus.
- EN 388: HI523 reaches 3231X, HI584 2131X. The digits stand for abrasion, cut, tear and puncture, X means not tested: EN 388 explained.
What the data sheets do not say
The data sheets of both gloves state no cold protection class to EN 511 and no temperature limit. “Winter glove” describes the lining and construction here, not a tested cold level. If you work in frost, wear samples in everyday work before ordering larger quantities. Both gloves contain latex and are not suitable for people with a latex allergy.
