HI561 and HI561S at a glance

Both disposable gloves belong to the hygiTouch range and are made of nitrile: powder-free, latex-free and non-sterile. They differ only in colour: HI561 is blue, HI561S black. According to the data sheet both are 0.06 mm thick and 240 mm long and weigh 3 g; they have a rolled cuff and can be worn on either hand.

They come in sizes 6 to 11, 2,000 pieces per carton in ten dispenser boxes of 200. The PPE category is III.

Standards and protection

Both gloves are tested to EN ISO 374-1 as type B, with the test chemicals K, P and T (sodium hydroxide 40%, hydrogen peroxide 30%, formaldehyde 37%). They also state protection against bacteria, fungi and viruses to EN ISO 374-5 (marking VIRUS) and protection against radioactive contamination to EN 421.

Testing takes place in the laboratory with pure substances. The result does not apply automatically to other substances, concentrations or longer contact times: EN ISO 374-1 explained.

Use and limits

The data sheet names food processing, catering, household and cosmetics as areas of use. Disposable gloves are for single use only and must be changed straight away if there are holes, tears or discolouration. If you use them in contact with food, ask for the declaration of conformity: it is available, but the test report names a blue glove as the sample. We advise on the black glove on request.
