Gloves for Assembly Work
In assembly, dexterity and grip on small parts matter most. The data sheets of the Hi5 gloves list assembly as an application for thin, seamless knitted gloves as well as for cut-resistant and ESD versions.

Typical hazards
- Small, smooth or lightly oily components that must be gripped securely
- Sharp edges on sheet-metal parts, threads and stamping burrs
- Long wearing time with constant gripping: hand fatigue
- Operating scanners and tablets at the workstation
What to look out for
- The thinner the knitted glove (a high gauge such as 15G or 18G), the better the feel. It is less robust than a thick glove.
- If there is a risk of cuts, choose the cut level on the basis of the risk assessment, not the highest number available.
- If you operate displays, look for “touchscreen compatible” in the data sheet.
